‘We’ll Achieve Abia Of Our Dreams,’ Uche Ogah Toasts Ikpeazu, Abians On State’s 28th Anniversary

The Honorable Minister of State for Mines and Steel, Dr Uche Ogah, has congratulated Governor Okezie Ikpeazu and Abia citizens as the state marks 28 years of creation.

Ogah expressed optimism that despite challenges facing the state, “we are going to achieve the Abia of our dreams” because Abians are known for their “fearless determination, industry, creativity, believe in God and love for education.”

Speaking in a statement on Tuesday, the minister expressed confidence that a glorious future awaits Abia due to what he described as the natural creative ingenuity and passion of citizens of the state.

“Despite the challenges of the moment, I have the hope that with our culture of fearless determination, industry, creativity, believe in God and love for education, we are equipped enough to surmount our challenges and to overcome every difficulty. We are a people notable for our creative ingenuity and passion, whatever we are determined to achieve we can achieve the odds against us notwithstanding,” said Ogah.

“Hence, I know that going forward, with all the ingredients that makes up our DNA, we are going to achieve the Abia of our dreams and redeem the hope of our founding fathers.

“I also want to use this occasion to urge all Abians to remain focused on achieving their individual goals and to continue to work with our Leaders in the State and at the national level towards achieving our corporate goals,” he said.

Ogah is of the 43 ministers recently appointed into President Muhammadu Buhari’s cabinet.

The oil magnate recently stepped down as the President of his business enterprise, Masters Energy, following his appointment as minister.

He had contested the 2019 governorship election in Abia State under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
