We’ll Send You To God — COAS Warns Bandits Troops Ready To Kill

The Chief of Army Staff, Farouk Yahaya, has warned bandits and other criminals disturbing the nation’s peace that his men would continue to send them to their creators to “answer for their crimes”.

Yahaya stated this on Wednesday shortly after he was decorated with a new rank of Lieutenant General by President Muhammadu Buhari at the State House, Abuja.

Buhari shared a video of the ceremony on his personal Facebook page.

The COAS, after being decorated, was asked what message he had for bandits and other criminals undermining the nation’s security and stability.

His response: “That is what we have started doing already and many of them have been sent to God to answer for their crimes [and] we will continue to do that.”

President Buhari had appointed Yahaya to take over from the country’s former Chief of Army Staff, late Lt. Gen. Ibrahim Attahiru, who died in a military plane crash alongside ten military officers in Kaduna State on May 21.
