What We’ll Do To Nnamdi Kanu If He Dares Return To Nigeria – Presidency

The Presidency has reacted to the sudden reappearance of the leader of the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, who has threatened to “bring hell” with him when he returns to Nigeria.

Mr Kanu had reappeared in a video that was widely shared on social media last Friday after over one year of silence. The IPOB leader went underground following a reported raid on his home in Abia state by some Nigerian soldiers last year.

Speaking in the video, Kanu had said, “I am coming back to Biafra land soon and I will bring hell with me, the way it has never been seen before.”

But reacting to the IPOB leader’s threat, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Mallam Garba Shehu, told BBC Hausa Service on Tuesday that the Nigerian government would arrest Kanu and make him continue his trial if he returns to the country.

Shehu also said, “If it happens to be true, the video footage showing Mr Nnamdi Kanu; the truth has been revealed about his alleged assassination against Nigerian government.

“This fairy tale went up to United Nations General Assembly where some IPOB members staged a protest accusing Nigeria government of kidnapping and even killing of Mr. Kanu,” said the presidential spokesperson.
