Wike Declares Four Youths Wanted For Alleged Harassment Of Julius Berger Contractors

Rivers State Government has declared four youths wanted for alleged criminal activities and harassment of Julius Berger staff.

The notice was issued in a statement by Kelvin Ebiri, the special assistant on media to Governor Nyesom Wike.

The notice read in part: “Rivers State Government has declared Messrs. Gift Elenwo, Chiboso Glory Ejeku and Tambari Godwin Gbara wanted for alleged criminal activities and harassment of contractors, particularly Julius Berger Nigeria Plc, in the State.

“The Mayor of Port Harcourt City, Chairman of Obio-Akpor Local Government Areas and security agencies have been directed to ensure that the aforementioned wanted persons are apprehended and handed over to the police immediately for prosecution”.

THE WHISTLER, gathered that the said four youths are Indigenes of Obio-Akpor Local Government Area in the state.

They have been harassing, intimidating construction companies in the state especially the Julius Berger Contractors threatening to destroy, abduct their foreign staff if they don’t pay them compensation as Indigenes.

However, the companies notified the Rivers State Government on the continuous threat which led to investigation and further declaration of the said culprits wanted.
