20 Days After Wedding, Jigawa Man Rapes 17-Year-Old Bride To Death
A 30-year-old man in Jigawa State has allegedly raped his wife of less than three weeks to death.
Alasan Audu raped his 17-year-old wife to death after she resisted his request for sex, according to the police in the state.

The deceased was said to have been forced to marry Audu against her wish.
The incident happened 20 days after the couple got married.
The spokesperson of the police in Jigawa, Abdu Jinjiri, who confirmed the incident in a statement on Friday, said it happened at Kankaleru village in Ringim Local Government Area of the state.
“Investigation revealed that at about 0400hrs, the suspect went to her (the deceased) as a husband, but she turned down his request as he was not the one she prepared to marry in the first place.

“In the process, he was suspected to have used serious force on her to satisfy his desire,” Jinjiri.
