Details of the duo’s meeting remain sketchy at press time, but there are indications that the meeting may not be unconnected with the 2019 presidential election.
THE WHISTLER recalls that Saraki, who had been meeting different elders statesmen in the country lately, had recently told Bloomberg that he was mulling running for the 2019 presidency.
Among elder statesmen Saraki has met recently were former military Head of State, Ibrahim Babangida, and former President Olusegun Obasanjo in Niger and Ogun states, respectively.
