3 Injured In Anambra Tricycle Crash

Three persons sustained varying degrees of injuries in Thursday’s road mishap involving two tricycles. THE WHISTLER gathered that the accident was caused by tyre burst, leading to the riders’ loss of control.

According to a statement by the sector public education officer, Federal Road Safety Corps, Anambra State Command, RC Kamal Musa, the accident occurred around 0910hrs.

According to him, “A serious road traffic crash involving two Yellow tricycles with registration number JJT 313QR and the other without a registration number was recorded at Oraifite, about 13km before the FRSC office, along Onitsha-Owere road. According to eyewitnesses, the crash occurred as a result of tyre burst leading to loss of control of one of the tricycles.”

Our correspondent gathered that a total of five persons, three male adults and two female adults, were involved while one male adult and two female adults sustained varying degrees of injuries, including bone fractures. They were reportedly taken to Nchedo Herbal Home.
