50 Political Parties Commend INEC For 2019 Election

After the review of 2019 general elections, 50 political parties have applauded the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for a job well done.

The political candidates and good governance Forum chairman, Honourable Alhaji Mohammed, lauded the commission while delivering a speech during the world press conference on the review of 2019 elections in Abuja by 60 presidential candidates and political parties.

“The most recent 2019 presidential election, the most recent in our democratic journey was very event full. Nigeria must recall that INEC most commendably released for the first time the time table of the election before the poll day.

“The activities preparatory to the election were all done in line with the timeline, hence Nigerians were in shock when the election was postponed.

According to Mohammed, the events which lead to a shift in polls was due to sabotage and political manipulations which were prompted by politicians to get undue advantage in the election.

“We, however, commend the proactive leadership of the electoral commission for taking the best decision in the interest of the nation to shift the opening polls and conduct of the election.

“We thoroughly rate 2019 election as credible and we hereby reaffirm our confidence in INEC performance against all odds in the conduct of the elections.”

The forum chairman further stated that the controversy surrounding the INEC server is just a” deliberate plot to destroy the integrity of our electoral process” and urged Nigerians to remain peaceful as the election petition tribunal has put the server controversy to an end.
