8 New Deaths As Nigeria Records 624 COVID-19 Cases

Nigeria’s total coronavirus (COVID-19) deaths climbed to 868 after the country recorded eight new fatalities from the virus on Tuesday night. 

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirmed the new deaths in its COVID-19 figures released on Tuesday night.

The NCDC also confirmed that the country had recorded 624 new cases of the virus, bringing its total infections to 41,804. 

The agency revealed that 18,764 infected persons had recovered from the virus. 

According to the NCDC, Lagos remained the country’s COVID-19 epicentre, with 212 new cases on Tuesday. 

New cases were also recorded in Oyo (69), Niger (49), Kano (37), Osun (37), FCT (35, Plateau (34), Gombe (33), Edo (28), Enugu (28), Ebonyi (17), Delta (10), Katsina (9), Ogun (8), Rivers (7), Ondo (5), Kaduna (4) and Nasarawa (2).
