Abia 2019: Ikpeazu Emerges PDP Governorship Flag Bearer

Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State on Sunday emerged as the state’s candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the forthcoming governorship election in February, 2019.

Chief Raymond Dokpesi, who was the Returning Officer for the PDP governorship primary Election in the state, declared Ikpeazu winner at the end of voting by delegates at the Umuahia Township Stadium.

Ikpeazu scored 1, 991 valid votes to win the Abia State PDP governorship ticket for the 2019 election.

2207 ballots were issued during the poll with 23 votes voided out of a total 2350 registered delegates from the 17 LGAs of the state.
