After Calling Ortom ‘Drowning Man,’ Ex-Force PRO, Jimoh Moshood Transferred To Benue

The immediate past Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), ACP Jimoh Moshood is said to have been redeployed to Benue state nearly a year after referring to the state’s governor, Samuel Ortom, as a “drowning man”

Recall that Moshood had verbally attacked Governor Ortom during the heat of herdsmen-farmers clashes in Benue over the implementation of the anti-open grazing law in the state.

His redeployment reportedly came on the heels of the series of changes that have taken place since the emergence of Mr Abubakar Adamu Mohammed as the new Inspector General of Police.

Among developments that accompanied IGP Mohammed’s arrival was the disbandment of the Federal Special Anti Robbery Squad (FSARS) on Monday.

ACP Jimoh Moshood stint as Spokesman of Nigeria’s Police Force will be widely remembered for his combustive press conferences and combative approach in tackling politicians who often questioned his professionalism.
