Alibaba Sacks 10 Employees For Exposing Details Of Manager’s Sexual Assault

China e-commerce giant, Alibaba Group Holding Ltd has sacked 10 employees for exposing details of sexual assault case linked to its former manager.

A female employee at the retail unit had posted an 11-page document of how the manager and a client sexualy assaulted her.

She claimed the company’s superior officials did not treat the matter adequately after five days she reported the case.

But Alibaba sacked the manager for his role while investigations into the matter continued.

According to Bloomberg who quoted sources familiar with the issue, the e-commerce giant investigated a screenshot of the account posted in public domain and discovered 10 employees were responsible for sharing the post.

Alibaba removed the watermarks that hid their identities.

The Chinese company fired the employees for violating policy against revealing content from the employee forum.
