Two months after the Nigerian Senate rejected the list of non- Ambassadorial nominees sent by the presidency, President Muhammadu Buhari, on Thursday, submitted a revised list of 46 nominees to the Senate for consideration and confirmation.
This was contained in a letter titled ‘Re-submission Of Non-career Ambassadorial Nominees’ and read by the President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki to lawmakers during plenary on Thursday.
The Senate had in November last year voted to reject Mr. Buhari’s earlier list, asking for “re-submission and rejigging”.
The Upper Legislative Chamber had claimed that there were some petitions against some nominees, hence their rejection.
