Anambra Residents Stone FRSC Operatives At Fatal Accident Scene

Residents of Anambra State, Tuesday, stoned operatives of the Federal Road Safety Corps at a fatal accident scene that occurred along Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, Igbariam.

Unconfirmed sources said the accident claim two lives.

DRC Margaret B. Onabe, AG sector public education officer, FRSC, Anambra State Command, confirmed this.

She stated that, “We were unable to get the details of this crash because when FRSC rescue team from Nteje got to the scene, the crowd was aggressive.

“The crowd was throwing stones at them so they had to leave for their safety.”

Rescue operations by civilian volunteers were ongoing as at the time of filing this report.
