The supporters had, while unveiling their support for Soludo decided to attack the President.

The APC youths questioned the connection between Soludo’s alleged support for Atiku and the Presidency, claiming that Soludo had no moral rights whatsoever to attack President Buhari based on performance since he is a member of the Presidential Economic Advisory Team.

One of the youth leaders, Abdullahi Aliyu, said Prof. Soludo had crossed the line by claiming that Buhari is damaging Nigeria.

He wondered how Soludo would govern Anambra if he won the election if he could not see “the marvelous works” being done by the President in all parts of the country.

Another prominent youth leader of APC, Umar Farouk Galadanchi, said Soludo was only playing “chameleonic politics” believing that he would earn votes in Anambra by showing his dislike for the President.

He said Soludo had struck the wrong cord by misjudging Anambra people that they did not like the President and said the merger between PDP and APGA, which Soludo is driving cannot yeld any positive fruit.

The problem, which arose from the emergence of the Atiku/Soludo posters in Abuja, does not look like one that will go away very soon as the governorship election in Anambra State draws nearer.

Recall that the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) group under the aegis APGA Movement for United Nigeria (AMUN), while launching the Atiku/Soludo Presidential campaign in Abuja, had said that in consideration of the unity and stability of the country come 2023, it has unanimously endorsed the alliance of the two largest and most powerful opposition parties, PDP and APGA.
