Apostle Suleiman Makes U-Turn, Tells Atiku To Accept Defeat

The founder and general overseer of the Omega Fire Ministry International, Apostle Johnson Suleman, has advised Atiku Abubakar, the defeated presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, against heading to court to seek redress.

The statement comes after the cleric, while speaking to his congregation before the presidential election on February 23rd, warned them against casting their votes for someone “who will cut their neck”.

He had said they should rather vote for someone “who will steal their money.”

Although, the man of God did not specify who will cut their neck and who will steal their money, it was speculated that he was referring to President Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress, APC and Atiku.

Meanwhile, after collating the election results, the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, had announced Buhari as winner of the election after polling over 25million votes while his closest contender, Atiku, polled over 11million votes.

While speaking with his congregation on Sunday, the pastor advised Atiku to concede defeat, adding that politicians should let peace reign in the country.

He said, “Nigeria needs peace, when you lose, don’t go to court, go home.

“Politics is a game. If you lose go home. Don’t go to court. Go home. It’s not your father’s property. If you don’t win today, you may tomorrow.”
