Barcelona Club Presidential Candidate Pere Rivera Won’t Stop Messi From Leaving
Days after former Barcelona coach Quique Setien revealed that Argentine forward and 6 time Ballon D’or winner Lionel Messi was a hard player to manage, a Presidential candidate for the vacant post of the club president, Pere Riera has revealed that Messi will not be his top priority if elected president and would not feel desperate to stop him from leaving.
Riera is contesting for the presidential position after Josep Bartomeu resigned from his position last week.

Riera made this revelation while speaking with MARCA.
“In my opinion, Messi has to stay at Barcelona and not with history. It’s not good for anyone
“In the end, it’s Messi who decides his future. I very much doubt that Messi wanted to leave Barcelona in the summer.
“I wouldn’t pull out all the stops for Messi.”
