BENUE: Police Uncover Secret Graves Of Armed Robbery Victims

Some secret graves suspected to be used to bury victims of kidnapping and armed robbery have been uncovered by the police in Benue State.

The police said nine corpses were recovered in the hidden graves located in Gbatse village.

Police spokesperson in Benue, ASP Catherine Anene, said criminals in Ushongo local government area are suspected to have buried the corpuses at the graves.

Anene also confirmed the arrest of a suspect and said, “as soon as we have concluded interrogating him, we will give out the full information”.

The arrested suspect is believed to be the gang leader of a kidnap and armed robbery syndicate who specialize in killing their victims and burying them at the hidden graves after collecting their belongings.
