BREAKING: Abia Gov Sacks Council Chairman 24 Hours To PDP LG Primary

Barely 24 hours to the Abia State Peoples Democratic Party local government chairmanship primaries, Governor Okezie Victor Ikpeazu, has approved the immediate removal of Mazi Emmanuel Ukwu Obasi Kanu, the Transition Committee Chairman, Arochukwu Local Government Area.

In a release by the Secretary to the State Government, Barr. Chris Ezem, on Wednesday, he directed Mazi Kanu to immediately hand over property and affairs of the council to the his deputy.

On the other hand, the Governor “graciously approved” the recall of the suspended Transition Committee Chairmen of Aba North and South Local Government Areas, Chief Victor Ubani and Hon. Cherechi Nwogu respectively.

The directives take immediate effect.

The PDP LG primaries are billed to take place tomorrow Thursday.
