BREAKING: Army Frees Detained Actor Chiwetalu Agu After 24 Hours
Veteran Nollywood actor, Chiwetalu Agu, has regained his freedom a day after he was arrested by Nigerian soldiers.
The actor was arrested on Thursday around the Upper Iweka axis of Onitsha, Anambra State, for allegedly putting on a Biafra themed regalia.

The Nigerian Army spokesman Onyema Nwachukwu in a statement said the actor was arrested for supporting and soliciting support for the proscribed separatist group Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

Agu’s release was confirmed by fellow actor, Chizzy Alichi, via her verified Instagram handle.
“Uncle Chinwetalu Agu has been released. He is safe and sound.
“All thanks to God and everyone that contributed in one way or the other,” she wrote
