BREAKING: Covid-19: Buhari Seeks Equitable Distribution Of ‘Pfizer’ Vaccine
President Muhammadu Buhari has called for the equitable distribution of “a Coronavirus vaccine” that has been adjudged to have “recorded 90% effectiveness in clinical trials.”
THE WHISTLER earlier reported that Pfizer Incorporated, in partnership with BioNTech had on November 9, announced that its “vaccine candidate was found to be more than 90% effective in preventing COVID-19 in participants without evidence of prior SARS-CoV-2 infection in the first interim efficacy analysis.”

According to Pfizer’s Chairman and CEO. Dr. Albert Bourla, the initial results from its vaccine candidate (mRNA-based vaccine candidate, BNT162b2) passed through series of evaluation by the independent Data Monitoring Committee (DMC) from the Phase 3 Clinical study to test its efficacy.
Buhari, who did not mention Pfizer’s vaccine, stated that the news of progress in the covid-19 vaccine development was a good one and would help in the fight against the pandemic.
“I welcome the news that a Coronavirus vaccine has recorded 90% effectiveness in clinical trials. This is a major milestone. The world must now make great effort to facilitate equitable access and distribution of these vaccines, to protect people in ALL countries,” he tweeted.
