BREAKING: COVID-19 Cases Hit 1,728 As Nigeria Records 196 New Infections

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 196 new cases of Coronavirus (COVID-19) in the country.

This brings the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the country to 1,728.

The NCDC Lagos recorded 87 new cases, Kano 24, Gombe 18, while Kaduna recorded 17 new infections.

The Centre said the Federal Capital Territory recorded 16 new infections, Katsina 10, Sokoto 8, Edo 7, Borno 6, while Yobe, Ebonyi and Adamawa states recorded 1 case each.

The new infections bring the total in Lagos to 931, FCT 173, while Kano had has 139 total cases, as of April 29, 2020.
