Breaking: Nigeria Records 20 New Coronavirus Cases, Total Now 343

Nigeria has recorded twenty new coronavirus cases in Lagos, Edo, Kano, ogun and Ondo states.

This brings the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the country to 343.

Out of the 20 new cases, the Nigeria Centre For Disease Control(NCDC) said 13 cases were recorded in Lagos, 2 in Edo,2 in Kano, 2 in Ogun and 1 in Ondo.

The NCDC announced this on monday via its Twitter handle.

“As at 09:50 pm 13th April there are 343 confirmed cases of #COVID19 reported in Nigeria. 91 have been discharged with 10 deaths.

Meanwhile President Muhammadu Buhari has said that the cessation of movement, physical distancing measures and the prohibition of mass gatherings remain the most efficient and effective way of reducing the transmission of the coronavirus pandemic.

He said by sustaining the measures, combined with extensive testing and contact tracing, Nigeria could take control and limit the spread of the disease.
