Buhari Departs For Japan Sunday

President Muhammadu Buhari will on Sunday depart Nigeria for Japan to participate in the 7th Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD7).

This was announced by the President’s Special Assistant on New Media, Bashir Ahmaad, on Friday via his Twitter handle.  

According to Ahmaad, the event is billed to hold in the City of Yokohama, and will span from August 28-30, 2019.

Earlier today, the president met with some traditional ruler from the northern part of Nigeria.

The meeting held at the Council Chamber of the Presidential Villa around 11.30 am.

The traditional rulers present at the meeting were the Sultan of Sokoto, Abubakar Sa’ad, the Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido, the Emir of Bida, and Emir of Daura.
