Buhari Inaugurates Four New Perm Secs, Presides Over FEC Meeting

President Muhammadu Buhari has just inaugurated four newly-appointed Permanent Secretaries at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

He inaugurated the senior civil servants just moments before the start of the weekly virtual Federal Executive Council.

The list includes three men and one female.

They are James Sule from Kaduna; Ismaila Abubakar from Kebbi; Ibiene Patricia Roberts from Rivers and Shehu Aliyu Shinkafi from Zamfara.

Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo; Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha; Chief of Staff to the President, Ibrahim Gambari; and the National Security Adviser, Babagana Monguno, are attending the FEC meeting.

Ministers with memos to present to the session are physically present at the State House for the meeting in line with the COVID -19 safety protocols.

Among them are the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister for Justice, Abubakar Malami; Minister of Finance, Budget and National Planning, Zainab Ahmed; Minister of Information and Culture Alhaji Lai Mohammed; and the Minister of State for Budget and National Planning, Mr Clement Agba.

Details of the closed-door meeting will be made public later in the day.
