Bus Kills Keke Rider In Anambra Auto-Crash

A fatal motor accident involving a white Toyota Hiace bus with registration number NSH86YJ and a yellow tricycle without a registration number, Tuesday, claimed the life of a Keke rider opposite St Joseph’s Catholic Parish, Nibo, along Nibo-Onitsha old road in Anambra State.

The accident was alleged to have been caused by excessive speeding leading to loss of control of the bus. The Anambra State sector education officer of the Federal Road Safety Corps, RC Kamal Musa, told THE WHISTLER in Awka, Wednesday, that eleven persons, six male adults and five female adults, were involved. According to him, “One male adult who sustained injuries was taken to Prime Hospital, and the corpse of the deceased was deposited at the morgue before the arrival of FRSC rescue team from the Sector Command.”

Meanwhile, the sector commander, FRSC, Anambra State, CC Andrew A. Kumapayi, while condoling the family of the deceased, advised motorists to desist from excessive speeding and stick to the speed limits as stipulated by the law.
