Buhari Will Be Re-Elected In 2019, Kachikwu Tells CNN’s Quest
Petroleum Minister, Ibe Kachikwu has said on Quest Means Business, a business show on Cable News Network (CNN), that President Muhammadu Buhari will probably win the 2019 presidential election.
CNN’s Richard Quest had asked Kachikwu if he thought President Buhari can still command the votes of Nigerians in the coming elections.
“Is it likely, because within another year your president or the party will be fighting in an election, and pretty much you are already in an election mode?,” Quest had asked the minister.

Kachikwu, in his response said: “Those of us in government are focused on getting work done; the president is probably going to win the election anyway.”
Speaking on the possibility of government’s diversification efforts to revive the economy, the minister said: “It is realistic. Five or seven years. Petroleum led us into this problem; it has to lead us out.”
