Buhari Writes Senate, Seeks $5.5bn Loan
President Muhammadu Buhari has asked the Senate to approve a foreign loan of $5.5 billion to fund the 2017 Budget.
The President’s request was contained in a letter by the Senate President Bukola Saraki at the Senate plenary on Tuesday.

As contained in the letter, Mr. Buhari said the 2017 Budget has a deficit of N2.356 trillion.
