AEDC Flags Off Business Process Reform Project

The Abuja Electricity Distribution (AEDC) has flagged off its Business Process Reengineering (BPR) project aimed at improving its service delivery.

The BPR, which is a two-year project, seeks to better work culture and improve the company’s productivity at large.

In a statement issued by its head of Public Relations and Media, Ahmed Shekarau, the AEDC further announced the unveiling of its 76 newly employed “Change Champions” who have been recruited to drive the reform project.

Speaking at the ceremony, the AEDC Managing Director, Engr. Ernest Mupwaya, charged employees of the company to ensure honesty and integrity in their duties while striving for excellence.

Mupwaya enjoined the staff to be “customer-centric”, adding that they cannot continue to do things the same way and expect a Different result.

The CEO noted that the ranking of AEDC by the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) as the overall best performing distribution company in Nigeria in the third quarter of last year was a sign that it (AEDC) was on its way to emerging as a world class utility in no distant future, in line with the vision of its Board of Directors, stressing that it can sustain the ranking record with greater commitment by employees.
