COVID-19: Nigeria Confirms Four Deaths, 2123 New Case

Nigeria on Tuesday recorded four additional fatalities from 11 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

This was contained in an update shared on the website of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).

The data indicates that Nigeria’s total infection from the pandemic currently stands at 227,378 while the fatality toll increased to 2,989 since the first COVID-19 case was reported in late February 2020.

Cases By States:

Out of the 2,123 new cases, Lagos recorded 1552 infections while the FCT recorded 197 cases.

Edo followed with 155 cases while Rivers State ranked fourth with 81 new cases.

Other states recorded new cases as follows, Delta (44), Plateau (33), Kwara (30), Kano (16), Enugu (12), Gombe (2) and Bauchi (1)
