COVID-19: Sanwo-Olu Commissions New 118-Bed Isolation Centre In Lagos

The Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has inaugurated a 118-bed isolation centre in the Gbagada area of the state.

The inauguration comes a day after the Director-General of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, Chikwe Ihekweazu, complained that there was shortage of bed spaces in Lagos.

According to him, the country had only about 3,500 bed spaces in all the isolation centres, adding that the country was facing shortages, especially in Lagos.

However, Sanwo-Olu’s Senior Special Assistant on New Media, Gawat Jubril, on Friday tweeted that the governor had commissioned another isolation Centre for COVID-19 patients.
