Empire’s Cookie Lyon Set To Tie The Knot
Actress Taraji P Henson has announced her engagement to former football star, Kelvin Hayden.
Popularly known as Cookie Lyon in viral musical movie, Empire, Henson claimed to have dated Hayden for two-three years.

The actress revealed this overwhelming news on her Instagram page flaunting an engagement ring on her finger.
Henson, who revealed the engagement took place on Monday, said the erstwhile footballer gifted her a bracelet for Mother’s Day.
“I said yes Y’all!!! He started with the Cartier love bracelet but that was my Mother’s Day gift and then he dropped to his knee and I almost passed out!!!” she captioned a shot of her new bling. “she is officially off the market and she is so happy!!!!!! #GODIS,” she wrote.
It was back in 2015 that the media first caught wind of the couple’s burgeoning relationship when they stepped out on a beach in Miami holding hands. On Sunday, she and the Chicago Bears alum dined with Hayden’s mother in honor of Mother’s Day and, as fans have now learned, their engagement.

Recall that in December 2017, Henson addressed their longtime relationship publicly. She said: “I’m very happy. Everything is coming together,” the star said in an interview on Essence’s podcast. “Yes Girls. I’m happy in my personal life.”
