EPL: City And Arsenal Draw As Klopp Suffer First Defeat
Premier League leaders Manchester City and nearest challengers Arsenal were both held to draws on Sunday as Liverpool suffered their first defeat in seven games under new manager Jurgen Klopp.
Manchester City remained top of the table despite being held to a goalless draw at rock-bottom Aston Villa as Remi Garde began his reign with a positive result.
Villa had lost all but one of their 10 league games since beating Bournemouth on the opening day.

However, they were able to frustrate City, despite having to fend off a host of chances.
Arsenal failed to capitalise on Manchester City’s goalless draw at Aston Vila to climb to the top of the English Premiership table when it could only come from behind to hold Tottenham to a 1-1 draw at the Emirates.
Kieran Gibbs was Arsenal’s hero as he scored to cancel out Harry Kane’s opener and earn a 1-1 draw with Tottenham Hotspur in the North London derby.
Juergen Klopp tasted defeat for the first time since taking over as Liverpool manager, his side beaten 2-1 by Crystal Palace at Anfield.

The German admitted he felt alone as he saw numbers leaving following Scott Dann’s 82nd-minute winner for Palace, after Philippe Coutinho’s third goal in two matches had cancelled out Yannick Bolasie’s opener.
“Eighty-two minutes, game over.
“We are responsible that nobody can leave the stadium a minute before the last whistle because everything can happen.
“Between 82 and 94, there were four minutes of added time, you can make eight goals, if you want, but you have to work for it.
“That is what we have to show and we didn’t and things are like they are.
“We decide when it is over.”

The manager was also disappointed with his side’s slow start and lacklustre finish.
“This is not the first time I lose a game you don’t have to lose,” he added.
“With our start we opened the door a little bit for Palace and we were asking for this goal and we got it (when Bolasie scored).
“Between the good game against Rubin Kazan and today there was only one thing to talk about – is it too much playing?
“Once again – I decide if I am tired, nobody else.
“If everyone thinks we gave everything we had then it is wrong. Of course we could do more.

“Maybe not more running but to be more awake from the beginning, to be more clear.”
“It’s important to learn. Today was not enough, we can do better,” the former Borussia Dortmund manager said.
