Fani-Kayode, Group Beg Atiku To Return To PDP

Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, on Tuesday, urged former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar, to dump the All Progressives Congress, APC for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Fani Kayode’s call followed Atiku’s criticism of the APC over its failure to organise statutory meetings for the organs of the party.

Fani-Kayode, on his Twitter page, described the APC as “divided and dying” and hailed Atiku as “a man of courage”.

He wrote: “The @APCNigeria is divided and is dying. I call on @atiku,a man of courage, to return back to @OfficialPDPNig. We love u and that is ur home.”

Similarly, a group under the aegis of Atiku National youth organization, (ANYO) called on him to accept the appeal extended to him by the leadership of the PDP to return to the party.

The group led by its national president, Hon. Hyacinth Harsila, National secretary, comrade Tiku Samuel said ahead of 2019 general elections, it has begun to strategize for Atiku Abubakar presidential ambition, adding that the call on him to return to the party by the PDP leadership is to enable him rebuild the party he has nurtured as the largest party in Africa.

“Atiku’s invitation was a manifestation of his acceptability and the track records of achievement left for the generation to see.

“As you can see, Atiku in his wisdom has over the years engaged the youths and discovered that there was a need to work in synergy with the youths with the application of other measure that has been working for the country,” the group declared.

“All Nigerians of good conscience must support Atiku to rein in the evil facing this nation. The Arewa youth, the Biafra agitators as well as the Niger-Delta militants must embrace peace and work together for the interest of one Nigeria”, ANYO said.
