Fatoyinbo At Shiloh As Oyedepo Preaches Rape, Conscience

Controversial senior pastor of the Common Wealth of Zion Assmbly (COZA), Biodun Fatoyinbo, was among top pastors that witnessed the day 3 encounter night of the 2019 Shiloh exercise of the Living Faith Church Worldwide, otherwise known as Winners’ Chapel, on Thursday.

The 2019 Shiloh tagged “Breaking Limits” began on Tuesday, December 3, and recorded attendance of over six thousand delegates from more than 48 countries, including Qatar and the United Arab Emirates, on the first night.

THE WHISTLER monitored the Shiloh third encounter night which was broadcast live across several churches both locally and internationally and on social media.

The founder of Living Faith Church, Bishop David Oyedepo, on the third night delivered a sermon on “What is in Faith that Breaks Limits?”

Ironically, while Fatoyinbo may have come to be part of the 2019 Shiloh exercise, Oyedepo unwittingly spoke about how Potiphar’s wife accused Joseph of trying to violate her sexually.

Fatoyinbo, who sat on the third role to the right of Oyedepo, at a section reserved for ministers, had been accused of rape by Busola Dakolo, the wife of Nigerian singer, Timi Dakolo. The photographer’s suit against the COZA pastor was however demised by a Federal Capital Territory High Court sitting in Abuja for being “empty and purely sentimental”.

Oyedepo during the sermon identified God’s favour, the hand of God, the raw power of God and being born again, among others, as the key requirements if believers must experience a “realm of no limits”.

He cited the case of Elijah in the Holy Bible who by the hand of God was granted divine speed.

“The hand of God was upon Elijah and he outran the horse and chariots of Ahab to the gates of Jezreel,” he said, adding, “There are people here today, God will fast your life forward supernaturally. Some things that would not have happened in 50 years, God will happen like in dream within 2020.

‘Convicted of Rape’

Oyedepo also gave the example of Joseph in the Bible who was accused of rape by Potiphar’s Wife after eluding her advances.

“Can you imagine Joseph slept last night like a prisoner and slept the following night as a Prime Minister. What a speed.

“You’re not a native, you don’t belong to any geopolitical party, you don’t have any identity anywhere and your are coming from prison, convicted of rape? Everything was contrary to the massive changes that came along on his life,” he said.

Oyedepo described Joseph’s experience as a “raw definition of breaking limits,” saying it is unmistakable.

The cleric noted that when a believer’s faith is on fire, such believer has committed God’s integrity to intervene in a given situation.

“I don’t know what matter is confronting you, [but] as you brace up your faith in God tonight and in his prophet…you shall be established.”

‘The Power Of Conscience’

Oyedepo further said during the sermon that there is an important relationship between faith and good conscience, noting that “It takes a right heart to experience the power of faith. You can’t be lying and stealing and expect faith to work.”

He added, “We had a whole lot of teachings on conscience, the power of science. In putting your faith to work and seeing your faith work. So, if you’re not interested in a right heart, you’re not a candidate. Deception should go, manipulation should go.

“As a pastor for a few years, I have seen quite a number of things. Things you can’t believe and that is why God gave us that strong word on redemption.

“Not every founder is saved, not every elder is saved, not every pastor is saved. Not every bishop, archbishop, primate bishop [is saved].

“There are men who have never experienced all things becoming new. Everything is still old. And when you’re now born again and your heart is not right, you become another Gehazi”

The day III encounter night of Shilloh  also witnessed attendance by great men of God, including pastor Paul Enenche of the Dunamis International Gospel Centre and David Ibiyeomie of the Salvation Ministries, among others.
