“The FCT Police Command wishes to unequivocally refute the malicious and mischievous story trending in some sections of social media that the FCT Police shot at five protesters at Dutse-Alhaji.

“Contrary to the misleading information in circulation, the FCT Police Command professionally succeeded in restoring calm at Dutse-Alhaji, following a violent clash between the ENDSARS and PROSARS protesters on Tuesday 20th October,2020.

“During the unfortunate incident, the protesters suddenly went berserk, leaving two persons dead and one injured,” Mariam said.

While commiserating with the family members of the deceased persons, the CP Bala Ciroma ordered thorough investigation into the unfortunate incident, even as he enjoined police operatives to remain professional in the discharge of their duties.
