#EndSARS: Buhari, Defence Minister, CDS Meet Amid Increasing Violence

President Muhmmadu Buhari met with the Minister of Defense, Maj.-Gen. Bashir Magashi (retd.), and the Chief of Defense Staff, General Gabriel Olonisakin, on Tuesday.

The agenda of the closed-door meeting, which was held at the Presidential Villa, was not disclosed.

However, THE WHISTLER observed that the meeting was held amid the #EndSARS protests, which started taking a worsening dimension since Monday.

It also coincided with the deployment of soldiers in parts of the country, apparently to tighten security ahead of a possible snow-balling of the protests into the unexpected.

On Monday, hoodlums, who seemed to have infiltrated the ranks of the protesters, invaded the Benin Medium Correctional Centre in Edo State, setting free inmates.

They also torched two police stations.

On Tuesday in Lagos, police stations were also set ablaze, while a couple of states also witnessed signs of increasing violence.
