FCTA Announces Water Disruption In Kubwa, Gwarimpa, Others

The management of the Federal Capital Territory Water Board has announced that there will be disruption of water supply in some selected areas in the city centre.

The board dispatched the information through a statement urging residents of Kubwa, Gwarimpa and lifecamp to store enough water ahead of the interruption.

It further stated that the disruption is due to the ongoing maintenance works at Phases 1 and 2 Treatment Plants which invariably “affected water production to tanks 2 and 5 .”

Other affected areas include, Airport Road, Gwagwalada, Jabi, Gudu, Wuye, and Utako.

This is coming 2 months after water supply was disrupted in the nation’s capital causing residents to pay between N1,500 and N3,000 for 10 jerrycans of water.

Though the management did not state the duration of the disruption, it assured that
the technical team and experts are working round the clock to restore normal water supply.
