Justice Adebukola Banjoko found Nyame guilty in 27 out of 41 counts.

In a judgment that lasted over 4 hours, the judge blamed the former Governor for financial recklessness and brazen display of executive power without following due process.

Nyame, who ruled Taraba between 1999 and 2007, is accused of criminally misappropriating funds and breach of trust involving alleged fraudulent approval of N250m for the purchase of stationery and office equipment of December 30, 2004.
