Four Terrorists Killed, 120 Arrested In Plateau, Kaduna — Army

Troops of Operation Safe Haven (OPSH) Special Military Task Force have announced the killing of four suspected terrorists and the arrest of 120 others between October 16 and 22.

The Media Officer of the operation, Capt. James Oya disclosed this in a statement, noting that the operation took place in Kaduna and Plateau States within the period under review.

Oya said the suspects were arrested for alleged kidnapping, armed robbery, cattle rustling, drug peddling and the illegal possession of arms and ammunition.

Out of those arrested, 73 suspects were arrested with arms and ammunition and 37 others for kidnapping.

The operation, aimed at maintaining peace in Plateau and parts of Bauchi and Kaduna States, according to Oya, also witnessed the rescue of four kidnapped victims.

Oya added, “We prevented five attacks on vulnerable communities and promptly responded to 28 distress.”

He said some suspects who were arrested for car and motorcycle theft have been handed over to the police for prosecution.
