Funny Reactions Trail Death Of MMM Founder, Sergey Mavrodi

Nigerians on Twitter have reacted to the death of Sergey Mavrodi, founder of the famous financial pyramid scheme, MMM.

According to a report by Moscow-based daily newspaper, Moskovskij Komsomolet, Mavrodi died on Monday in the Russian capital after he felt weakness and pain in his chest area.

He was later confirmed to have died of a heart attack at the age of 62.

Hence Twitter users raised questions about the circumstances that surrounded his death, while the majority of the people believed that God answered the prayers of millions of Nigerians who lost their money to the Ponzi Scheme.

MMM started in Nigeria in November 2015, when it launched a new website for its Nigerian audience, it gained widespread acceptance across the country in the latter parts of 2016.

A lot of Nigerians are still very much bitter about the sour experience they had in December 2016 after the MMM Ponzi scheme crashed with millions of their money trapped.

According to a 2017 report by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Nigerians lost N11.9 billion to the MMM scheme.
