Hamas Claims Responsibility For Netanyahu’s Political Woes

Hamas has claimed responsibility for the political development in Israel following attempts to end Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s government.

The development came after Yamina party leader, Naftali Bennett, Yair Lapid of Yesh Atid party and Ra’am political party (United Arab List) chairman, Mansour Abbas, signed an agreement to form a new government to oust Netanyahu.

THE WHISTLER earlier reported that Netanyahu, on Thursday, urged his colleagues in the country’s Supreme Legislature (Knesset) to block it.

But the political bureau of Hamas says it was expecting Israel Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu to be jailed if a new Government is eventually formed.

Hamas is said to be the de facto governing authority of the Gaza Strip, and its military wing had engaged in an eleven-day conflict (in May) with Israel’s Defense Force leading to casualties on both sides.

On Friday, the Deputy Chief of Hamas’ political Bureau, Dr. Mousa Abumarzook, claimed that aside expecting Netanyahu to be imprisoned for how he treated Palestinians, he expressed doubts that a new Government in Israel will bring any change to Palestine.

“The steadfastness of our people in the face of recent aggression was the straw that ended Netanyahu’s political future as Prison awaits him.

“The new coalition will be even more extreme than the previous right-wing one. As for Abbas Mansour, he represents only himself,” he tweeted.
