I’m Prepared To Fix Nigeria, Tambuwal Says As Sokoto Gov Joins Presidential Race

Sokoto State governor, Mr Aminu Tambuwal, has officially joined the presidential race for 2023, laying to rest speculation on his political future.

The former Speaker of the House of Representatives made this known on Monday evening after a high-level stakeholder meeting in Sokoto.

Speaking during his declaration, he said he’s not only well prepared but also ready to fix the numerous problem of the country as president.

According to him, he has distinguished himself not only as governor but as a Speaker of the House of Reps without any blemish.

His declaration puts to rest speculation on his future and increases the number of aspirants seeking the highest position in the land.

He joins journalist, Mr Dele Momodu and Gov Mohammed Bala of Bauchi State, who have declared their presidential ambitions on the platform of the PDP.

Tambuwal came second to former Vice President, Mr Atiku Abubakar at the PDP Presidential primary in 2018.

He will be seeking the presidency despite southern and middle belt demand that all major political parties zone their presidential tickets to the south.
