Immigration Commences 48-hour Visa Delivery System

Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) on Monday announced an online 48-hour visa service delivery system for foreign investors intending to visit Nigeria.

Mohammed Babandede , Comptroller General of NIS, revealed this while speaking with the newsmen after a one day workshop on the operationalization of the Presidential Executive Order in the immigration service.

According to Babandede, If you apply for a visa and comply with NIS requirements, 48 hours is the time line for you to get your visa.

He also confirmed that the service has created a 24-hour open line for the public to communicate with them anytime.

“The condition is clearly stated on our website. We have complied with the presidential Executive Order. 48 hours is the time line for you to get visa. If you apply for a visa and comply with our requirements, we will respond to you by email,” he said.

Minister of Interior, Lt. General Abdulrahman Dambazzau (rtd) who was also in attendance assured that all agencies within his jurisdiction will comply with the Executive Order while also commending NIS for their remarkable development.

He said: “I wish to also present the NIS Dress Code, which as I was made to understand is the first such document developed by the NIS to ensure uniformity on the dressing of officers and men, for all occasions.”

He further restated his commitment to the service saying the ongoing NIS recruitment is one of the ways to ensure efficiency in the system.
