Injury Forces Nadal To Opt Out Of US Open
Tennis legend, Rafael Nadal has revealed that he will not be participating in the 2024 US Open.
The 22-time Grand Slam winner has been battling with injuries in the last few months and he is unsure of performing at his best in the United States of America.
He confirmed that his next event will be the Laver Cup in Berlin in September.
Nadal has now missed six out of the last seven Grand Slam tournaments.
He wrote on X: “I don’t think I would be able to give my 100 percent this time,
“Hi all, writing today to let you guys know that I have decided not to compete at this year’s US Open, a place where I have amazing memories,” Nadal posted. “I will miss those electric and special night sessions in NYC at Ashe.

“Thanks to all my US fans in particular, I will miss you all and will see you another time. Best of luck to all for the always amazing US Open!”
Nadal lost to Djokovic in the second round of the ongoing 2024 Olympics in Paris.
He won his last Grand Slam in 2022 in the French Open.
