IPOB Fighters Flee Orlu, Take Refuge In Spiritual Leader’s Kalabari Community Home

The people of Kalabari Beach community, a coastal town in Oguata LGA of Imo State, have been gripped by apprehension since fighters of the Indigenous People of Biafra reportedly invaded the community after the Orlu clash with the army.

A leader in the community who spoke to THE WHISTLER on Monday, said members of the Eastern Security Network were taking refuge in the house of their spiritual leader, one Christopher Njekwe Ejiogu (aka Ajilo).

Ajilo is said to be a notorious herberlist who prepares charms for members of the IPOB security team.

The community leader, who spoke off-the-record, told our correspondent that the locals started seeing strange faces coming down to the stream to take their bath two days after the Orlu Saga.

He said upon discreet investigation, it was discovered that they were members of the ESN who clashed with security agents during the alleged shooting incident in Orlu.

“As I speak with you now, our community is unsafe, we don’t want a repeat of last year where some boys loyal to this same native doctor conspired and killed one Chijioke A.K.A ODINTA, leading to people fleeing the community. We are tired of moving from one unrest to another in this town, especially as it is caused by Ajilo who does spiritual fortifications for all kinds of criminals. He has caused many deaths,we don’t want that again.
Therefore I call on Governor Hope Uzodinma to join Nigeria Security outfits to return normalcy in our community, ” he pleaded.
