JUST IN: Israel Airstrike Blows Up Al Jazeera, AP Offices In Gaza

Amidst the ongoing rift between Israel and Hamas, an Israeli military airstrike has reportedly razed a building hosting Al Jazeera and Associated Press (AP) media platforms in Gaza, Palestine.

According to AP, the Israel Defense Force notified the owner of the building of the said attack and urged them to leave immediately.

“BREAKING: Israeli airstrike flattens high-rise building that houses The Associated Press, Al-Jazeera and other media in Gaza City, about an hour after evacuation order.

“The owner of a Gaza high-rise housing the AP and other media outlets says he has received a call from the Israeli military that the building would be targeted. The man said he was told to make sure all residents have evacuated,” AP tweeted.

On its part, Aljazeera floated a video capturing the time Israeli air strike blew up the offices.

The media management of Aljazeera said it uses the building to capture live updates of happenings in the area.

“LIVE footage of the moment an Israeli air raid bombed the offices of Al Jazeera and The Associated Press in Gaza City,” it tweeted on Saturday.

On its part, the IDF, in a tweet stated that Hamas was using civilians and residential buildings to launch attacks against it.

“Hamas has turned residential areas in the Gaza Strip into military strongholds.

“It uses tall buildings in Gaza for multiple military purposes such as intelligence gathering, planning attacks, command and control, and communications.

“We called the building’s residents and warned them to leave. We sent SMS messages,” IDF stated.

The conflict in the region has led to over 100 deaths.
