JUST IN: Gov Umahi Loses 2nd Commissioner In Two Months

The Ebonyi State Commissioner for Infrastructure, Fidelis Nweze, is dead.

Nweze’s death reportedly came a week after he was involved in a ghastly road accident.

The accident took place on Saturday along the Enugu-Abakaliki highway, reports The Nation.

He had served as commissioner for works in Governor Dave Umahi’s first tenure.

Governor Umahi’s Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Francis Nwaze, confirmed the commissioner’s death in a statement.

Nweze’s death makes him the second commissioner in Umahi’s cabinet to die in the last 2 months.

Recall that the state’s former Commissioner for Housing, Uche Okah, had also died in a hospital in Abuja.

Okah was said to be receiving treatment for an undisclosed ailment when she passed away.
