JUST IN: Gunmen Abduct 18 Travelers In Kaduna
No fewer than 18 people have been reportedly abducted by gunmen along Kaduna road on Friday.
According to Senator Shehu Sani, lawmaker representing Kaduna central, the armed men attacked travelers along Birnin Gwari local government area.

Sani, in a tweet via his official Twitter handle appealed to President Muhammadu Buhari to “fund and equip” security agencies so as to curb security challenges in the country.
“Just learnt of the kidnapping of 18 people along Birnin Gwari-Kaduna road today. It stands condemned. We still appeal to the President to fund and equip the Police and the Army to be able to combat this menace. Security presence without the necessary materials to work with will change nothing,” he wrote.
No fewer than 60 passengers have been reportedly abducted along Kaduna road in the past three weeks.

The attacks continue to occur, despite military presence.
