Kaduna Airport Welcomes First International Flight

Sequel to the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja shutdown, the Kaduna Airport yesterday welcomed the first international flight of the Ethiopian Airlines.

The minister of Aviation, Senator Hadi Sirika reveled this yesterday while speaking to newsmen in Kaduna, he said those who are in doubt should begin to believe government some more. 

“This is a big and huge lesson for us that we should not abandon our duty post wherever we find ourselves, to avoid similar situation in other sectors.

“We should be alive to our responsibilities all the time and once you are faced with an emergency, you should take it up and do the best you can to get out of it.

Recall that the Federal Government has formally announced the closure of the Abuja airport beginning from 12 a.m. Wednesday, 8th March.

This was announced by the Minister of Information, Lai Mohammed, at a world press conference Monday in Abuja.

The airport will be close for six weeks to enable a repair on the runway.

The federal government also promised to make Kaduna Airport ready for use as alternative.
